and straight from the hose...
Using a wet-saw, the owners cut and fit together a stone wall for their raised garden bed and created a waterfall.
When they dug up the area for the patio they found a giant granite bolder which is now in their front yard. However, one of the first thing people notice is their stone frog sculptures:

The stone patio in front of the garden will eventually have blue stone. The owners are eventually going to cut the blue stone and create an outdoorr patio which will have cut-outs where new plantings will reside.

The crested iris make a great "skirt" for the daylilies. The crested iris bloom in spring, while the iris bloom in July.

The trees in the water garden include a weeping cherry, a dwarf redwood from Mahoney's and two pots of climbing hydrangea which will be planted along the fence or house wall once the blue stone goes in.

In the meantime, Dover guards the garden. Stay tuned!
